So, in Spanish, the V is pronounced like "UV", which is where the confusion comes from. I am positive that her surname is spellec "Caviglia", but I could be wrong. Considering it's an Italian surname, I could ask my Italian friends how it's spelled (also because I'd trust them the most, since it's their first language, sksksksk).
If that were the case, Gregorio's joke about UV (in Spanish, even) would make zero sense. [Unless the joke is about Gregorio's inability to understand Marco even though he repeats himself, which is a possibility, but imo a dense joke that would be confusing to kids and therefore unlikely]
Also, there are variations on last names, "uv" could just be how her family chose to spell it. I've meet a couple Smythes (pronounced "Smith") in my life.
